“You could say that I’ve been overjoyed to have @allegramiles on #TeamNick - Amazing performance! #TheVoice” - Nick Jonas (@nickjonas) May 12, 2020, Twitter
Allegra is extremely grateful to have been a contestant on Season 18 of NBC's 'The Voice', the winner of many awards, including 7 Emmys!
Allegra performed in the Blind Auditions on March 2nd, 2020, at age 16. She sang her own soulful version of "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon, accompanying herself on the keyboard, and inspiring Kelly Clarkson and Nick Jonas to turn their chairs and compliment Allegra on her unique tone, emotional connection to the song and her musical arraignment. Allegra ultimately chose Team Nick.
Next, on March 23rd, Allegra performed in the Battle Rounds. She and her battle partner, Michael Williams, sang a stunningly beautiful duet with their own arraignment of "How Will I know" by Whitney Houston, both impressing all the coaches with their artistry and vocal control. Nick picked Allegra and saved Michael.
Allegra moved on to the Knockout Rounds on April 20th, going head to head with her teammate, Jacob Miller. She sang an emotional and unique version of 'Chandelier' by Sia, winning the round to move on to the Live Performances.
The first-ever remote Live Playoffs were filmed from home on May 4th due to the Covid-19 stay-at-home orders. Allegra sang a heartfelt tribute to New York with "New York State of Mind." Her coach, Nick Jonas saved Allegra and she advanced to the Top 9.
She performed "Overjoyed" by Stevie Wonder in the Semi-Finals on May 11th, competing with her one remaining teammate, Thunderstorm Artis, for America's votes due to a rule that only the top vote-getter from each team would move forward.
Allegra went on to sing her Instant Save song, "In My Blood" by Shawn Mendes. Allegra's journey in the competition came to an end, having made it to the Top 9.
Allegra appeared on Episode 3, 6, & 10 thru 16 of Season 18; you can see the entire show on Hulu, on demand & YouTube.
