The Voice Season 18: Allegra is extremely grateful for the opportunity to be part of NBC’s The Voice Season 18, which aired Feb. - May, 2020. Out of 40,000 who auditioned, Allegra made it on the show, as a member of Team Nick Jonas. Allegra gained wide-spread popularity on the show as her coach described her as a “storyteller” with an ability to “thread the needle of a song” using her own unique arrangements and stunning emotional expression. Coaches called her heart-felt performances “magical,” and her unique sound a “finale tone.” She made it to the semi-finals as the youngest artist in the top-9 at 17. For press, blogs, and photos of Allegra's journey on the show, see more.
Making a difference: Allegra's desire to make a positive difference in the world has been deeply engrained in her since childhood, when she sang for the Kids For Peace movement in San Diego CA, singing at fundraisers and peace marches from age 3 to 6. Recently, Allegra has used her platform as a musician to benefit organizations like the World Health Organization, Hospitality Helping Hands and others that are providing Covid-19 relief to her community and elsewhere on a global level. She has participated in large on-line music festivals including Save the Scene, Hope Isn't Cancelled, and Bands for Hands, and created many of her own music live streams on social media, all to raise funds for Covid-19 relief organizations.
Music background: Allegra comes from a very musical family. Her mom is a music therapist who is a singer/songwriter, plays guitar and piano, and performs regularly in the South Florida area. Her dad plays the bass and guitar, and her older sister plays guitar & piano. They all play together sometimes at open mics and gatherings. Allegra started playing the piano when she was four, playing the guitar and writing songs at 12, and started gigging out two years ago.
Musical style: Allegra has a unique, recognizable sound whether singing originals or covers, which could be best described as soulful. Her music draws from jazz, soul, and singer-songwriter styles, as can be heard not only in her voice, but in her choice of chords, progressions and melodic structures that are nothing short of captivating. She makes covers her own by adding her creative melodies and even new lyrics to amplify the feel and message of the song. When she sings, Allegra creates an atmosphere that grabs attention in a crowded room, and cuts through the noise so that people start listening. Guaranteed, you will feel something hearing her and will be enthralled by her artistry.
Songwriting: Allegra began writing and publishing songs 4 years ago. Her originals are musically and lyrically sophisticated, captivating audiences with songs ranging from chill/R&B-inspired to upbeat and uplifting, songs that have depth and authenticity one would not expect from someone so young. She is always working on writing new music. Allegra’s originals can be heard on YouTube, her website, Spotify and other streaming services (see links below).

From the Media: "…Her name is Allegra Miles...She's only 16 years old and has already wowed so many crowds with her vocal ability and sheer talent as a songwriter as well. The neo-soul pop singer is from West Palm Beach and is turning heads wherever she goes. I wish there were more ways to describe her other than "what the ****?" but there really isn't but, I'm going to try anyways. We've already established that Allegra can sing but, Jesus, the texture in her voice is something similar to that of literally watching butter melt. It's silky and smooth yet, has some sort of jarring effect that will leave you wanting more even when she's done. This girl has conquered every cover and original she's performed. Her voice has this "it" factor that a lot of singers these days lack. She commands attention on the stage and can make anyone who wasn't paying attention immediately stop and look and wonder how that voice is coming from this girl…” ~~ From PabloPodCasto and Friends blog, June 2019
Allegra knows the sheer power and importance of music, today especially, and wants to do everything she can to bring more love and light into the world through music.
